Patina Patina PatinaMiller took on the title role in Stephen Schwartz's 1972 Broadway production of "Pippin". Diane Paulus won the Tony Award in the 67th Annual Tony Awards for Best Revival of a Musical. "Pippin" was a musical featuring Matthew James Thomas with Andrea Martin, Terrence Man, Matthew James Thomas as well and directed by Diane Paulus. Patina put her own contemporary take on the award-winning Benjamin Vereen's part and managed to master the Fosse dance moves which are crucial in the production. Patina received a Tony Award for Best Performance by an actress in an Leading Role within a Musical. She also won an Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Actress in a Musical along with Drama League, Fred and Adele Astaire Award and Broadway.com Audience Choice Award nominations for the role. Her previous roles included the one of the Lead Player in the American Repertory Theater production of "Pippin" from November 2012 to January 2013. Miller made her Broadway debut in the 2011 Broadway season as the gutsy nightclub-singer-turned-nun "Deloris Van Cartier" in the stage adaptation of "Sister Act", which earned her first Tony nomination, as well as Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations for her performance.
